last weekend i was finally able to get out and shoot - my first winter photography outing.  sad it has taken until mid-january, but the weather, my schedule and my motivation level all finally came together!  i didn't stay out as long as i had hoped due to a little mishap with my boots -- they started to leak!  i've had them for approximately 4 years and apparently i pushed them a little too hard.  now the search for new ones begins -- but i hate replacing shoes when i still love the ones I have.

anyways, here's a shot from nicollet island.

Obsession

It's an all-out obsession with her.  She chews socks, throws socks, swallows socks, jumps on dressers to get socks, hides socks under the bed, has figured out how to get the laundry room door open to get socks.... she's just down-right crazy about socks.

New Look, New Name

I've needed a new look for quite a while now and am happy to see the new design come together.  Next on the list is a new location!  Blogspot is great but doesn't quite have the flexibility I'd like.  But for now, a new name and a new look.

Accidentally on Purpose perfectly sums up how I feel about my photography.  I'm still very much a newcomer to photography with a lot to learn, observe and experience - most of my shots are accidentally on purpose. 

Thank you for all your visits.  The steady traffic really motivates to keep shooting - even in this awful Minnesota winter weather!

Given the cold weather looks to be here to stay, I've decided to start a series on NYC.  I visited in August with my mom - had a great time and got lots of good pictures.  So here begins the series...
