Best half-time show ever!

Half-time of the Gophers/Badgers game was a mascot basketball game featuring any and all local mascots you can think of.  Goldy, of course, Crunch, TC, State Fair Cup, Arby's Curly Fries, Linx, St Paul Saints Madonna, Subway Sandwich, Buzz and a few others I don't know.  What is that blue thing behind Goldy?  A syringe?

This game was hilarious!  Mascots can hardly see let alone shoot and dribble!  It definitely kept the crowd entertained.  Check out the guy in the tan shirt in the upper right.  Think he's into it?

Gophers vs Wisconsin - February 18th

When the game started, we were a bit confused at who was who.  Who's that guy with the shaved head?  45?  Must be Iverson?  Oh, wait - they all have shaved heads.  I didn't realize until this game how much I look at their hair to determine who's who.  Rumor has it, the entire team shaved their heads to show support for Paul Carter's little sister, who was diagnosed with cancer.  Thoughts go out to Paul & his family.

Gophers take on Wisconsin

Couple of weeks ago my husband and I were lucky enough to get free tickets to the Gopher v Badger basketball game at Williams Arena.  What a game.  I must admit, I went in with a bad attitude after some bad losses recently, but this game proved to be a great one.  Gophers went down early (8-0 I think) but then lead the entire game.  The energy in the Barn was amazing.  And they've kept the momentum going with 2 more solid wins vs Indiana and Illinois.  Now just need to win out (Michigan & Iowa) and play well in the Big Ten tourney and we should make the NCAA tournament - that's not too much to ask, is it?
